– Vegetarian – Gluten Free – Vegan

This recipe has been a lifesaver when I need to cook AND do a million other things at once. The idea is to make something that can cook by itself while giving you time to prep the table, finish your homework, or catch the last bit of your favorite Netflix show. Most of this meal involves a little prep and lets the wait time do the work for you. Simple ingredients. simple recipe. Simply delicious!

The Ingredients

Jasmine Rice

Mixed Vegetables

General Tso sauce

The Recipe

  1. Boil 3 Cups of water in a medium pot
  2. Add  1 and 1/2 Cups of rice
  3. Turn heat down to low and cover with lid
  4. Let rice sit for 15min (does not need to be stirred)
  5. Microwave bag of vegetables for 3 minutes and 15 seconds
  6. Open the bag and pour onto the plate
  7. Fluff rice with fork or chopsticks
  8. Scoop rice onto the plate with vegetables on the side
  9. Drizzle General Tso sauce as desired
  10. Pat yourself on the back
  11. Devour the deliciousness

Complete The Meal

To complete the meal you will need to gather the rest of your essential nutrients. Here are some suggestions to include with your Stir Fry Deliciousness:

  • A side glass of apple juice
  • A cup of strawberries and blueberries
  • Marinated tofu, tempeh or a nutty sauce for added protein
  • A large glass of  some “High-Quality H20” (The Waterboy 1998)

NOTE: There will probably be enough rice and vegetables left over for a second helping or to save for lunch the next day. Be prepared with meal-prep containers if you don’t want to share the rest of your awesome meal!
